Founder

Company Director Richard Hudson has gained many years experience in the building industry since establishing Hudson’s - a Building, Contracting and Joinery Company in 1984.

Starting out as general building contractors, Hudson’s had its own bespoke joinery shop in Colchester, which was formed to bring the precision of carpentry to building. Contracted to undertake a variety of Building projects - from the sympathetic restoration of Listed Buildings using traditional methods and materials, to the design and construction of New Build Homes and Commercial Buildings across Essex and Suffolk; Richard’s professionalism and technical competency along with his ability to move with the times has enabled his business, not only to stand the test of time, but to thrive.

The Company

Keen to draw on his wealth of experience and specialize in the design and construction of Commercial Buildings, Richard formed RLMH in the year 2000. RLMH is the managing agent of the entire property portfolio and can boast a succession of longstanding tenancies.

We work one project build at a time, so we have the ability to dedicate fully on the construction from start to finish.

Working to the highest standard and having an exceptional team of accomplished tradesmen, RLMH has been built on expertise, reputation and delivering a second to none service and build, providing a highly professional and efficient service. We’re proud of our team and sub-contractors, many of who have been with us since the offset; they’re part of the family.

With particular emphasis on the ergonomic aspects of design, Richard approaches every building project from the perspective of the end-user.  When researching a new development, great consideration is given to the accessibility and amenities of a location – you will find RLMH developments are situated close to main roads and shops, and ample parking is provided. Developments must be attractive and good to work in. Trees and natural features are retained, wherever possible as boundaries, and additional planting is introduced that will mature in keeping with existing surroundings.
